The Solstice artwork (right) for Healing the Family was unveiled by Father Bob Maguire at the 'Solstice Global Healing' event. It was created by those involved with the event a couple of weeks prior in an Art Therapy workshop facilitated by Lisa Fam.

Some of the amazing Prayer Flags were made by groups of artists in Sydney.

Just a few words from Estelle Rozinski in Sydney who could not make it on Sunday and sent amazing Prayer Flags that were hung around the stage in image left, made by the women in the groups mentioned below: 

"As Sydney comes to terms with last week's horrible events, our work and our collective presence here takes on new meaning. Now is the time for all of us to listen, to hear and to educate ourselves in events past and present.

The Ngala Nanga Mai pARenT group is a group of Aboriginal women from the la Perouse area in Sydney, they are committed to making a difference to themselves, their families and the community.  The smARTspace artists have shown in galleries as part of the Shirmadness Jewish Music Festival,(launching in Melbourne 6th September 2015). These 2 groups have worked and exhibitied their work collaboratively and independently.

They are a testament and a celebration of what can happen with committment, time and a good ear".

"Volunteers are really important for our community and the Planetary Healing Artists association's success".
Port Phillip Volunteer Expo on Saturday 17th May, 1pm-5pm at Port Melbourne Town Hall and we will be part of the Expo.
- Any artists willing to decorate the stall with pieces of their artwork or colourful things will be welcome. Please bring your own art work and collect on the day.

We would love your help staffing our info stall at the expo.

This free event will give you a chance to speak directly with 30 or more other organizations about volunteering opportunities in the Port Phillip area. Some of the registered stallholders who have supported us in the past including The Father Bob Maguire Foundation, Sacred Heart Mission, St Kilda Indigenous Nursery CoOp, Ardock Youth Foundation and Port Phillip EcoCentre will be attending.

Asylum Seeker Lament April 14 at 7 pm

There is a gathering next Monday evening, an Asylum Seeker Lament - an initiative of some of the local catholic churches. 

April 14 at 7 pm at the St Kilda Baps church. There will be a meditation, Brigid Arthur from the Brigidines will be speaking and will bring some asylum seekers with her to share their experiences.

We are happy to announce that West Beach Bathers Pavilion have requested 'Oh my Gaia!' art exhibition to extend for another month. Awaiting okay reply from all artists.

Oh My Gaia art exhibition healing the planet...

Many thanks for the support of City of Port Phillip, West Beach Bathers Pavilion, all of the Planetary Healing Artists's coming togerther for this magnificient exhibition to heal the Planet at this special time, especially Maria with the catalogues, Katrina doing the signs, Annette with facebook updates, Neill for the wonderful flier, Simon with the practical stuff & special guests at the Opening to help launch the exhibition, Kite Republic & everyone I have forgotten for the moment.

Oh my Gaia! art exhibition is up till 3rd Feb

Most of the planetary healing & environmental artists made it to the Opening Night. In spite of the heat we managed to get the exhibition ready. Just before sunset Father Bob came for some healing after a funeral that day & Ross Maher, mentor extraordinaire for the group to keep the energy going.

Only days to the Opening Night 'Oh my Gaia!'

Presenters for the evening include the Mayor of Port Phillip to open the exhibition, Stella Woods who has been involved with the Wildness Society, Kayleen White with a planetary healing ritual, Anna Jane Wilson with a poem, and Anies Suzukawa with a healing meditation for Mother Earth.

The Festival this year is running a new campaign, asking Festival goers to pitch in and show their support for the event.
